Mrs. Cordelia Ekwueme

Board Chairperson

Ms. Cordelia Nwandu-Ekwueme is a distinguished executive with a robust 30-year track record

in management, showcasing significant achievements across both public and private sectors. She

has held several high-level executive roles throughout her career.

Currently, Mrs. Ekwueme serves as the CEO of Livewell Financial Services, LLC, a firm

specializing in accounting, business consulting, and loan brokerage. Previously, she was the

Chief Executive Officer at Alpha XP & C Ltd. in Lagos, Nigeria. In this role, she provided

strategic advice to CEOs across various industries including NGOs, aviation, finance, real estate,

and construction, focusing on business strategy development, revenue enhancement, and

strategic partnerships.

 

Her experience also includes the role of Managing Director at Associated Aviation Limited in

Lagos, where she led strategic and operational policy-making and managed day-to-day

operations of the airline. As CEO and Senior Financial Consultant at Cornerstone Mortgage &

Financial Services, LLC in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, she mastered complex mortgage products

and oversaw mortgage loans while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and policies.

As Chief Financial Officer and Senior VP of Finance at OIC-GM Corporation in Milwaukee, she

directed operations in finance, IT, telecommunications, facilities, procurement, and

administration, emphasizing strategic financial planning and organizational reengineering.

In the public sector, she was an Administrator at the Office of Finance and Revenue, District of

Columbia Government, where she managed the Unclaimed Property program and oversaw

compliance involving legislation, audits, and procedures.

 

Mrs. Ekwueme earned a Postgraduate Diploma in Aviation Management from the University of

Geneva/IATA, Switzerland, an MBA in Finance and Management from Howard University,

Washington DC, and an MS in Technology from the University of Manchester, UK. She also

holds a BS Honors in Chemistry from the University of Lagos, Nigeria, and is a Certified Public

Accountant.

 

An active participant in community and professional organizations, Mrs. Ekwueme has served on

boards including the WICPA Educational Foundation and the Legacy Redevelopment

Corporation. She is a Lifetime Member of the National Association of Black Accountants,

founding President of the Milwaukee African Women’s Association, President of the African

Stakeholders Group, and a board member of Leading Change, Africa. She holds board positions

in various other nonprofits and charitable organizations.
