Henrietta Oluseyi George is an educator, educational leader, outstanding athlete, coach, and mentor. She is the current Senior Athletic Coordinator for the DeKalb County School District, Stone Mountain, Georgia. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology at Seton Hall University, New Jersey, and an MA. Ed degree in Curriculum and Instruction at Phoenix University She is certified in Special Education Interrelated Studies. She has over 20 years’ experience teaching and coaching children with special needs and their nondisabled peers in the regular classroom setting. She is happy to continue the legacy of her grandmother, Mrs. Ellen Olusola Caulcrick.
Henrietta’s dedication and skill in track and field led her to become a standout athlete in high school, where she not only won several state championships but also set multiple state records. Following her collegiate success at Seton Hall University Henrietta returned to her roots in education and athletics, beginning a remarkable 20-year tenure at Druid Hills High School. There, she wore many hats—as an interrelated special education teacher, a track coach, the Athletic Director.
Henrietta’s teams thrived under her leadership. Her athletes became county and region champions, broke numerous state records, and achieved a historic state runner-up finish—marking a first in both county and state history. Henrietta's influence extended beyond coaching as she played a crucial role in helping hundreds of students secure athletic scholarships, significantly impacting their future.
During her 7-year tenure as Athletic Director, Henrietta's leadership was transformative, leading to her receiving numerous accolades, including:

· Teacher of the Year (2020-2022)
· GLISI Hidden Heroes Winner (2022)
· DCSD Track & Field Coach of the Year (2023)
With a lifelong passion for sports and an impressive track record of achievements, Henrietta George now serves as the Senior Athletics Coordinator for the DeKalb County School District, Stone Mountain, Georgia where she continues to inspire and lead the district's athletic programs with the same passion and excellence that have defined her career. She looks forward to contributing her service to meet the goals and objectives of the board.
