Dr. Eugenia Oluwabusola George is a retired educator , mentor, and community
leader . She has over 32 years’ experience educating students and providing
leadership at all levels of the American Public School System. She served as
Program Coordinator (Gwinnet County Schools) and Chairperson of the Strategic
Plan for School Improvement (Dekalb County Schools).
She earned her bachelor’s degree (Mass Communication) at Central State
University, Ohio. and a master’s degree in English at Atlanta University, Atlanta,
Georgia. Inspired by her mother's (Mrs. Ellen O Caulcrick), passion for individuals
with disabilities, she changed her course of study to Special Education. She is
certified in various areas of Special Education including Intellectual
Disabilities /Autism with a masters degree in Emotional Behavioral Disorders (MA.
Ed) and Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Administration/ Interrelated Studies
of Special Education at Clark Atlanta University. She received her doctorate degree
in Educational Leadership at the University of Sarasota, Sarasota Florida.
he has presented at the local school level and national conventions of the Council
for Exceptional Children USA on various topics including teaching strategies,
behavior management techniques in the home and the learning environment.
Some of her presentations and research topics include the following titles: Writing
Meaningful I.E.P. Goals (2018); Collaboration With Home & School for Student
Success (2016) ; Parental Involvement In Special Education: Perception of
Empowerment In the Middle School (2003) ; Service Delivery to Families of
Exceptional Children : Nigerian Experience (1997); Peer Leadership: Untapped
Resource in Behavior Management. She conducts training for parents and
teachers to leverage support for children and youth with disabilities.
She is the founder and Executive Director of Higher Heights Solutions, (Non-
Profit/Educational Consulting Group); a member and leader in many non-profit
organizations including the Nigerian Women Association of Georgia, where she
served as president, St Philip AME Church, Eko Club Atlanta, Nigerian American
Public Affairs Committee and African Women Public Advocacy Committee.
She has received numerous awards including the following: Teacher of the Year
(TOTY 94/95)Toney School, DeKalb County School District Georgia U.S.A. , Consulate
General of Nigeria , Atlanta Georgia (for selfless service to the Nigerian Community
Atlanta, Georgia, August 2009), NWAG Trumpet Award –(2010), for dedicated
service by the Nigerian Women Association of Georgia), Alliance of
Nigerian Organizations (ANOG) Image Award, (2013),Woman of Distinction Award,
(2013, St. Maria Goretti Alumni Association, USA) Community Service Award. She
feels blessed to be of service to humanity.
